I don't have a short barreled one, I have the R8 and LOVE it, had a trigger problem early and they fixed it right up. I use it for Steel Challenge and I already have about 4000 rounds through it. A fellow friend and competitor has the stainless model and it seems more sturdy, however I love the speed of my R8. They both came with DA trigger pulls that will make you question S&W PC ability. I threw in a set of Jerry Miculek springs and trimmed the mainspring screw, and I am a happy camper.

The factory trigger pull was extremely hard to get started, once you got it moving it was "ok". After about 1000 rounds mine started having issues releasing the cylinder stop if you put any side pressure on either side of the trigger. I tried to fix it myself and messed it up, I bought a replacement trigger and after 8 weeks of delays they sent the wrong one. I called them and sent it back. They replaced the trigger, cylinder stop and return spring. Worked like a champ, but was stiff as heck.

I put my Miculek springs in, and shortened the screw little by little till I got the double action down between 7-7.5 pounds. I have to load Federal primers to guarantee ignition now. I love it.

I have a Safariland Bianchi Cup holster I had to trim with a dremel and heat a tad to stretch it. I currently run a CR Speed holster. you have to buy the 4-5 inch holster not the the 5-6 inch model.
