UN Arms Treaty back on

That didn’t take long. Less than a day after President Obama’s re-election, the administration breathed new life into the United Nations‘ previously comatose treaty regulating guns.
A ratified treaty, with constitutional authority, could be interpreted in a way that applies to any imported weapon or round of ammunition, those made with foreign components, those containing imported materials, those that might some day be exported, and those capable of being exported. If it affects the overall arms market, it could be said to be part of “international” trade, even if the item never leaves our shores.r
Hmmm, kind of an International version of the Interstate commerce clause.

I'm constantly in awe of the Progressives. They consistently and patiently stand for the same things over and over again. They never miss an opportunity to seize the moment like the Gifford shootings, whether their attempts gain any traction or not. Like the Feinstein proposal to re-instate the "assault weapon" ban, their message is always predicable and incessant. If they cannot come through the front door, they try to back one. I think we all knew that if President Obama won a 2nd term, this UN Treaty was going to be back and with a vengeance.

One could hope that the slim number of Senators that the GOP still has could stop consideration of this treaty when (not if) it comes before the Senate in 2013. Unlike the Progressives, however, I worry that the establishment Republicans can consistently stand for anything, including protection of the 2nd Amendment.

I hope that the NRA can muster enough clout to stop this madness. This treaty really isn't as much about guns as it is ceding the sovereignty of the United States to a "higher" power. It is Agenda 21 and it will not be the last step in that direction. If the Progressives can break the back of the gun rights advocates in the US, the Agenda 21 battle is all but over.

Personally, I'm fresh out of ideas. The cards are stacked against us in attempting to educate the American public, with the educational system and the media working to kill whatever messaging we try to get out. I sure would love to hear about a different approach. It appears that nothing we've tried so far is working.

A true revolution would be the only way to fix it...
but I dont think congress will sell out the US just yet. People are not dumb,
we have to educate and let everyone know just have dire it could be if the UN takes over our great country
now watch a few black suburbans show up in town looking for me :biggrinjester: :nono:

:iagree: This is the linchpin to successfully forcing the rest of Agenda 21 on us. When the country wakes up to all the other incremental changes, it will be too late.
Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.... The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun. - Patrick Henry

Got an email passed to me today. Can this happen?

There was rumors of this treaty months before the election

Civil War is Coming WASHINGTON (Reuters) -

The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto. The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress.

Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. It will never happen!

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws.

Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control. Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed. Straight into socialism if Obama has his way... We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

The constitution requires any treaty to be ratified by a super-majority of the U.S. Senate. However, the Traitor-in-Chief has already shown contempt of the constitution, so who knows. Personally I think it more likely for firearms to be "regulated" out of existence by the EPA making ammunition too expensive, and OSHA regulating shooting ranges into extinction. If you can't afford ammo, and can't shoot anywhere, who needs a gun?
