Left out today in a hurry. Mexican carried a 9mm. The ol' brads in the wranglers marred the slide on my piece. Carried at about five O'clock.

Dang, thats what they make holsters for and that's why I bought one. Fortunately a little touch up blue cured the problem.

Never again. Gentlemen use your holsters. Ladies too.

I like Mexican carry, but for safety purposes, I go with a holster.

So let me get this right, "mexican" carry is when you just put it in your belt, right?

Take smokewagons advice & dont. It is tough on the gun & easily dropped at best, reall dangerous at worst.

Did you & JLaw get your mags worked out. Sounds like both of you got a good deal out of that? Sure like the signature you chose.

I never thought about damage to the gun I always holster to protect my trigger especially with my glocks

Actually, it's between your waistband and your shirt. The technique requires a strong belt.

Many, if not most, folks will say that it's an unsafe practice for any weapon with an external safety device on it. Others will say that it's unsafe for revolvers as well. One has to wonder what else is back there (between the shirt and the waistband) to wipe "off" the safety or to press the trigger.

Safety is always paramount when carrying concealed and, in the IWB category, trigger safety gives peace of mind for most of us against the AD. I think this is why not a small number of Glock owners have purchased the Saf-T-Block for when they carry it with that "spring-thingy" bolted to their slide for IWB.

PS- Oh, i cant forget about Chimi Changas, first time i heard that i was like Chimi WHAT?

I know a guy thats one of those vehicle carry guys.(only carries in his truck) he said some times when things dont "feel" right he will just put it in his waistband to go in a gas station or something. anyway, point is he is neither hispanic or a felon...its just easy and quick for him.

My bud at work carried this way with his Kel-Tec and said it would rust in a day due to sweat. He carries his Glock this way also, and swears by it. I tried with the 9 Mil on duty, and absolutely hate it.


Not to get off topic too far, but my Father in Law (Mexican) told me about Mexican Backhoe -- Shovel, and Mexican dumptruck -- wheelbarrow, and Mexican boxing--- two people and one pair of gloves, fighting one handed

I seem to remember a variation used by the OSS or CIA that involved a length of string to support the firearm.

I can't recollect the details.
