Hello Everyone!
It's been nice the last week I've been carrying! I have a question--If my wife and I are in a car and she is driving--we get pulled over, should I show my CHL? Thanks for your advice.

Congratulations on carrying. You do not have to show your CHL unless you are asked for ID.

Why would a woman be driving if there is a man in the car?
JUST KIDDING!!!!!
You are only required to show your CHL if a Peace Officer (or Magistrate) demands that you identify yourself AND you are carrying your handgun.
To answer the question; must you show your CHL as passenger, the answer is no.
The answer to the question of
should you depends on the context of the word should. (don't you love these kinds of answers)
There is no legal reason why you
should; however, there may be other compelling reasons why you might want to.
If the gun is not on your person but in the console, glovebox, between the seats, etc, you probably should inform the officer of your status.
Personally, as the passenger of any vehicle I plan to just keep my mouth closed unless the situation dictates otherwise.

I let my wife drive.
It's just easier than having her telling ME how to do it!
I'm safe, she dosen't read the forum.
Back on topic: Whatever you do, don't SHOW the officer your gun!!
Regards, OE

Sometimes a man gets tired...
I just pull over and TELL my woman to drive...Yeah!
I get into the passenger seat, and TELL her I'm taking a nap! And thats just the way it is...
(then I wake up from that dream)

Mrs. Anygun very very seldom drives me.
She is along to sit on the passenger side, admire the way I row gears, compliment me on the choice of music, and look good on the way to whereever we are going.
Well, at least that is the way it happens most of the time.

Self preservation goes a long ways, even if she doesn't read the forum.
