Cultural Secession

Some quotes:
There is no better outcome that the Democrats could have hoped for than the demographic despair that has overtaken some sections of the conservative movement. While the Republican establishment prepares to accept Obama as the new FDR, the grass roots feels alienated and willing to write off the whole country.
Above all else, education is the future. Traditionalists who fail to understand this will allow the educational system and the entertainment industry to transform their children into progressives. Progressives know that control of the educational system means control of the future. Without the educational system and immigration, progressives are doomed to be cafe radicals. With them, they can count the generations until they control everything.
The progressives have three strengths, class warfare, cultural programming and immigration. America had prosperity that negated class warfare, but it neglected to safeguard its culture from the left and did not consider the consequences of Third World immigration. With their political and culture power, the left destroyed prosperity and now with all three cards in their hand, the progressives are rising high.
Forget physical secession for the moment and think cultural secession. Physical secession, even if it were achieved, would do little good without putting cultural secession first. And if you cannot manage cultural secession, then how will you ever achieve physical secession?

Some wars are settled by guns, but cultural wars are settled by the schoolbook and the movie. They are settled by the family.
The progressive agenda is to destroy the family, to undermine it, ridicule it, economically disadvantage it and burden it until it falls apart and is replaced by the Big Brother of the State. The traditional agenda is to maintain the family and pass along traditional values across the generations. That is what this cultural war is really about; whether the family or the state will the defining unit of human experience.

I could not have said it better, but I have tried again and again, using different words.

The country today is not the same country I served 15 years ago.

Much of that 'blog' was lifted from a 1991 book Culture Wars: the Struggle to Define America (James Davison - 1991). And as far as the suggestion to group with those of similar ideologies that use traditional ideas as their basis and not allow the views of the liberal left to intrude - one needs to look no further than Ruby Ridge and Waco for an answer on how the Government will handle that.

You don't have to get together in enclaves or draw attention to yourself. Choose, if possible, to have more than one child. Most families can easily have three or four children (some even more) without risking the health of the mother. See children as a blessing. Choose to turn off or limit the tv, we have a tv, even cable (though we are trying to see if there is a way to nix that expense), but we are very selective on what is permitted in our house. Note--even PBSchildrens programs are awash in leftist dogma. Choose to not give your children to statist education. Private school, homeschool, etc. Make friends with like-minded people.

I had a conversation with a high school classmate. He is an atheist and we were talking about culture. He told me that he believed Christianity headed to extinction. I asked him how that was possible when I (a Christian) had four children and he an atheist had none and did not plan to have any. He said it was simple, that the public schools would steal my children's hearts for his ideology. My response was over my dead body. We homeschool, so that put an end to that. But this is not the real problem. The problem is not my four kids that I will raise in the knowledge and admonition of The Lord. The problem is the children of the woman on welfare raising children to be on welfare and as we have seen in this election they are beginning to outnumber us workers. How do we break that cycle? To take our culture back we must do this very thing. Unless of course we all want to sign up for 4-6 children, then perhaps that problem would take care of itself.

Make adoption more available?
If it didn't cost thousands of dollars and require you to be a certified saint I would think many more people would adopt a child. We probably would.

Reality will break the cycle eventually. The current system is not and cannot be self-sustaining. It's just a matter of time before all the spending on "entitlements" either provokes a reaction or leads to economic collapse. I think the collapse point will be reached first. I don't know if that will be in two years or twenty, but it's mathematically inevitable.

Your friend is not alone. Remember the song, "Age of Aquarius" from the "Hair" musical? From an astrological standpoint we are exiting the age of Pisces, and entering the age of Aquarius, another cycle of the sun which changes about every 2000 years or so. Pisces is often represented by the fish. The fish is a symbol that is often used as representative of Christianity. The New Agers really and truly believe that when we enter this new cycle, Christianity will have run it's course - (since it occurred during the age of Pisces after all!) and will become extinct.
