Hank Johnson (D, Georgia), the congressman who was afraid that the island of Guam was going to tip over and capsize, apologizes for using the 'm-word'.

Seriously, how does this guy manage to feed himself? "rlol"

The really sad part is that he's been elected.... 4 times.

Maybe the fact that the incumbent he beat in 2006 was Cynthia McKinney explains things.
He's the lesser of those two evils for sure.

But he ran UNOPPOSED in 2008 and ran up a ~74% victory against GOP candidates in 2010 and 2012.

It happens. Chalk it up to gerrymandering. My Congressman got 64% last time and could be considered a certifiable idiot. :patriot:

As dumb as he is, he's smarter than his average constituent.

Please help me if I am being incorrect.

A midget is a person who is unusually small as an adult. I believe "Tiny Tim" of circus fame was a midget. This condition is extremely rare. The person is perfectly proportioned but is unusually small. A full grown adult midget would be less than three feet tall.

A dwarf is a person who is normally sized but has very short arms and legs.

If you call a person who is a dwarf, a midget, that is considered an insult by the dwarf.

But as far as I am concerned there is no reason to not say midget if it is used correctly.

In the realm of political correctness, what was acceptable yesterday is a mortal wound today. Dwarfism is a medically-described condition where the arms & legs are disproportionately short. However, the term dwarf is now used to include people with all forms of size conditions that result in an overall dramatically smaller than average adult height. According to the TLC tv show, Little People - Big World, the prefered term is 'Little People'. But it's been a while since that show has been on tv, so there may be some other less offensive term that we're supposed to use now.

Michael Bloomberg is pretty smart. He may be an evil minion of Sauron but he's no dummy.
