Just read this article:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog ... e-us-state" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Crime is going down. AWB does nothing to save lives, Just look at California and NY where they have AWB in effect, They have higher murder by firearms than the average, maybe too high. How about DC, same issue too. Violence and aggression are social issues committed by irresponsible and criminal people.
And for the idiot Senator who is from CA and wants to introduce another AWB, did gun control makes your lovely CA state safer? Why crime is too high in your state?? Do criminals obey the law??? If it was true, then there would be no criminals!!

AAAANND the N Hollywood Shootout. aka LA bank robbery.
YEUP.....the NFA gun laws worked well to keep then full autos out of their hands didn't it.
The gun ban in China saved those school kids too. He still killed several with a KNIFE.

There were no kids killed in the China school knife attack that happened the same day as the CT shooting.

Fixed, Replaced NY with CA.
Still CA has AWB in effect and has one of the highest murder by firearms. Go figure if another AWB would reduce crime.

Logic and statistics have been on our side for decades, if not centuries. The problem is Satan's Little Helpers don't care about logic. They only want to increase their power in the world. The pain and suffering they facilitate or directly cause to good people is the icing on their cake.

The problem with the UK statistics is they are not for an Open case, but only upon a conviction. Most of their other crimes are rated and handled differently also.

The trouble is, the numbers have always been on our side, and there are historical examples of how gun control costs lives rather than saves them, that registration doesn't work and can lead to confiscation, etc.
While we can educate some, there will always be those who "know what they know and the facts aren't relevant" as well as those (higher up in the food chain) who don't care because its all about control, power and/or money.
To some degree I think the war on drugs is a similar situation; whether or not its really working, there are too many 'agencies' that have a vested interest in the 'war' continuing.

I recall an elderly fellow last year explaining to me that it's against the law to carry a
loaded gun in Texas
no matter what, and he did not need to read the law, he KNEW.
Some people just know.

The appropriate response would be "I know that you are a moron."
