I've been shopping around for an XDs for the past couple of weeks and CTD was the only place in Dallas that had any... I will probably never buy another .22 caliber round from them after what they have done this week. So, after traveling down to Temple and Waco today for work and checking all of the Academy's on the way with no luck I was directed to a place in Waco called Unique Guns by one of the gun counter guys at the Academy Waco.

Picked up one there; have nothing but good things to say about both Unique Guns and the gun counter folks at the Waco Academy.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but a range report will follow shortly. I plan to carry Hornady +P in it to help with the shorter barrel assuming it eats it at the range.

Too bad you hadn't been reading the "WTB XDS" or similar-named thread on here.

Forum member urnoodle pointed me to Grab a Gun.com, since I was also searching. They are located on E. Beltline in Coppell.
I bought mine Monday, 12/17/2012. They said they had more XDS's in stock and I posted that here in order for any other
XDS-searchers to score their own piece.

For anyone else within reasonable driving range of Coppell, if you want to score an XDS, either black or
bi-tone, go to grabagun.com. You can order it online, then either pick it up in Coppell, or have them
send it your FFL.

As the Springer XDS ads state: ".380. It was a cute fad."

Congratulations on your new XD-S. I really like Unique Guns. The owners and staff are great people. I have bought five handguns from them and every buying experience was first rate. Glad you found your way to them.

B&S Guns in Garland had 3 XDs' under the glass today. Problem was they wanted $699 each. I wasn't looking for one but did notice them today.

I looked at the XDs today- really wanted to see how it felt in hand because I knew from the specs it was one I probably wanted. It feels great in the hand and the high undercut in the trigger guard allows me to get the pinky finger on the grip. I see one in my future.

Anybody in the DFW Metroplex that wants an XDS should cruise over to Coppell. Grab a Gun has black XDS's for $522.98.
They have bi-tones for about $50 more.
