?????is this firearm stolen??????

Can anyone tell me if there is an internet (or other quick and easy) method of determining whether a firearm has been reported stolen?

I am a firearms dealer in Texarkana, TX and due to the "diverse" citizenry here I have had many firearms offered for sale and upon running them through the local police (very slow and irritating to both the cops and me) many are stolen and those that are not reported often show signs that would lead me to think they might be stolen.

This is a problem I really need help with.

Thanks

There is no public access database for stolen property (including guns) that I am aware of. Those reported to the polcie anre entered into NCIC/NLETS and are prohibited from public access.
