Do you think that all the frenzy will die down in a couple of months over gun bans, if so when and will ARs go back down to normal prices. He reason I'm asking is because I'm looking at a DPMS lite 16A3. Give me your thoughts. :txflag: :patriot:

I don't think they will go down anytime soon. Maybe in a year or two...if the stuff doesn't hit the fan prior to that.

Just with back orders most gun and magazine manufacturers are already on more thana one- year wait

I think it'll be back to normal by summer. Why wouldn't you run three shifts instead of one if the demand is there? If you are an AR manufacturer, now is the time to cash in. There are too many states threatening to ignore any gun related federal laws, so there won't be any gun legislation passing. Give people time to see things will be okay, and supply will catch up. That's my random guess at it.

I think it will be back to normal in a couple of months. When the talk about banning things stops happening and people realize Obama was unable to do anything it will get back to normal. I would wait until prices come down and I would not pay what they are asking, it is not worth it. I also think there will be a lot of people with buyers remorse. Of course, it is still going to take some time for manufacturers to get stock levels back to normal.

That's what I was thinking.. I'm not all high and mighty about my brands but dpms is way down the list of brands I would desire.

I think wants all this calms down all these guys flipping new rifles will begin to panic sell and the prices will drop fast. It will be a sell off panic

I have a DPMS lite and it goes bang everytime I pull the trigger, and for me, accuracy is not the fault of the gun. I can't tell any difference between it and my Bushmaster.

I remember the last Obama-fueled buying binge after the 2008 elections. It took a 18 months for the supply of reloading components and firearms to return to normal. I had 15,000 primers on back order until May of 2010.

Yep. This is going to take awhile to settle down. The problem I see is for the next two years every time Obama sneezes people are going to run out and buy whatever they can get their hands on.
The mid term elections are more important than ever. If they go the wrong way we may never see normal again. I don't even want to thank about something happening to one of the conservatives on the court.

So happy I got this ball rolling over a year ago rather than when all this craziness started. It was definitely worth selling the couple of guns I got rid of to put mine together. Sheesh, with the prices I see some of these ARs selling for, I have a half a mind to sell mine and build another once all the madness dies down. I could profit a good $600 over my cost to build it. My wife buys shoes and clothing that will end up at the thrift shop in a matter of years, but my toys have never sold for less than 90% of what I payed for them. Some even made me a profit!

Things well settle down after the 2014 elections. Whether democrats lose or gain seats, it won't be a huge enough swing to make that big of a difference in the House. It is possible, but unlikely that republicans would gain control of the Senate. But whatever happens, Obama is a lame duck president in his last two years, and once the 2014 election is behind us, things will settle down. But, it's kind of like gas prices.....they come down, but they never get all the way down to where they were before they shot up. Once the mess settles down, look for formerly $800 AR15s to be selling for $950, and formerly $1,000 AR15s to sell for $1,250. Higher end ARs will go up correspondingly. M855 ball ammo will never again be $394/1,000. It will probably come down to $450/1,000 or something like that.
