I have a stripped lower that I need to get some engraving work done on.
Does anyone know of a place in the Fort Worth/DFW that does this?
Also, what are the ramifications once I engrave it? Will it need to be recoated?
Thanks!

You don't have to have the lower refinished..he will treat where the engraving was done in black or left shiny.

Also JR French and the legendary Robert Shade as backups outside DFW.
ARr-15 aluminum lower? Ideally, yes, but you can discuss options with the engraver.
+1 on Dallas Engraver. Ken is a member (treasurer actually) of our lodge and I have seen some of his work. He does some great work.

Based in Rockwell.
Laser engraving for all your Form 1 needs :)
If you're engraving for a form 1, you can clear coat over the exposed aluminum, but you want to leave the engraving open for anyone who needs to inspect it.

This one is in N. Dallas/Addison.
I've used them for a FFL transfer but not for any engraving.

Heard nothing but good things about them. The dealer I purchased my suppressor from uses them for his SBR builds.

For gun engraving for SBR, is it better to leave lower stripped or can you send complete lower?

Another +1. My buddy and I used them for a couple SBR lowers. Walk in service, couldn't have been nicer/easier, and the results are very nice compared to traditional engraving.

They do lower receiver engraving at the shop my son works at: Bear Creek Firearms in Keller. They are a class III dealer / manufacturer, so they do this a lot.
I have a lower that needs to be engraved with the stamp comes back, and that's where I'm taking mine.

Pre-Engraving:
I haven't got my form 1 filing back yet, so won't have an engraved receiver to show for a while, but the trust name will be engraved below the serial# on the right side.
