What a great boss!

I was talking to one of the assistant principals at my school yesterday about the fact that my husband just got a new AR and can't find any ammo. The AP showed up this morning with 400 rounds and said "It just seemed a shame for a guy to have a new gun and not be able to shoot it." Didn't want any money. Just said to replace it when we got the chance! (That may be awhile, but if we don't get some soon, I'll make sure he gets reimbursed for his kindness.)

What a great guy. A little kindness goes a long way with me.

I nominate that boss for AP of the year.
Any seconds?

What a swell guy!
Just curious, is it legal to have ammo in a school?

Ammo is not referred to in our employee handbook, and the ammo was never in the building. Transfer was in the parking lot after school, so I think we were fine. I'm not sure I've ever read anything about ammo in a school building. Maybe some of our experts can follow with more info.
He sure gets my vote for boss of the year!

That is very nice. That stuff is practically like gold these days. Makes me wonder how much he has himself if he can spare 400 rounds.
I'm going to have to do the same thing if my BILs rifle ever get's here. He bought an M4 off gunbroker, but he can't get a hold of the seller to arrange payment or shipping. I don't know if I can spare 400 rounds, though.

He purchased THREE safes not too long ago to hold his ammo!
My husband got his AR off gunbroker and it was in his hands a week after he bought it! Very smooth transaction.

I've been trying very hard not to hijack threads, but since you are the OP maybe a short detour will be okay.
I'm not familiar with gunbroker. There are individual sellers like on ebay or craigslist, right? I told my BIL it's probably nothing and there could be any number of several reasons why he hasn't heard from the guy in four days. He just won the auction Saturday and talked with him then, but hasn't heard from him since. No e-mail, TM, or return phone calls. If this seller doesn't contact him soon, what are my BILs options?

Detour ok! Here's a link to gunbroker's Buyer Protection services, as well as resolving issues. Hopefully the guy is just busy or lousy at communication.

Thanks. I'll pass that along.
