Can't log in the conventional way

I used the login function and it would send me, not logged in, to the forum page. Then I came here to make a topic and it made me log in to make this, instead it sent me repeatedly to the login page. Finally I logged in to the check PM function and used it to jump to the forums. Anyone else had trouble today?
