Why the cries about gun registration?

Here is why. I ran across this story on the Cornered Cat website. (Great website if you have a wife who is hesitant or kids who may be curious...written with the female perspective in mind.)

Summary: Registration of "legal" firearms today. Then, tomorrow, that "legal" firearm gets "reclassified" by some random bureaucrat (like EPA making a new environmental regulation) and all registered owners are informed their reclassified gun must be turned in.
