Is anyone planning on going to the High Caliber Gunshow in Pasadena today? Trying to see if it worth the trip. If anyone goes could you price check complete and stripped non polymer lowers?

I was there earlier. I looked at a Chinese made scope and the cross hairs were tilted. The vendor said they were all that way because you tilt your head to look down the scope. I told her I shoot left handed and this wouldn't work for me because I tilt my head the other way. She got a really confused look on her face and asked me not to argue with her because apparently she has been doing this a long time.
I am done buying Chinese made parts

Beleive it or not; I have never been to a gun show. I have always bought brand new firearms at chain stores or used at pawn shops. Is there etiquette on how someone can barter or trade at a gun show?

I went. What A waste of money.
Was looking for a rimfire rifle in 22LR or 17 HMR nothing to be found.
Ammo prices were offensive at best. .223 that was 8 per box was 20 and 9mm was going for a buck per round and I saw 525 piece boxes of 22 for 75.
Went to Carters Country and spent my money and felt like I got a deal.

Hey Ruger, I'm curious if S.A.W. was there and if they were trying to move any ammo?

S.A.W wasn't there.
They typically show up at George brown and reliant center.
Even ajc sports inventory was greatly reduced.
After what I saw yesterday I'm going anti gun show for awhile. I'll take my chances with catching ammo at Wally world and academy.
I'm not much into political scare fantasies but one of the dealers I asked about the situation said it will correct itself in 3 years 8 months. Looks like there is some truth in that for now.

Sure, the price they quote, is the price you'll be paying...
Now, don't you go and buy that AR you've been beating yerself over the head about lately at one of these events...Go do what I suggested and put out a WTB - "Want to Buy", in the appropriate section of this website, and work a deal...There are some good folks here who won't rake you over the coals, unless I've been sleeping too long...
Gunshows, in my opinion, these days are raking in the $$$$$ because they know they have a captive audience...That some new folks to the scene feel like they "need" something for protection...And haven't quite figured that out...But they are darn well sure they are going to buy "something"!!! And no one is going to tell them different!!!
Step 1: Clearly identify your need...
Step 2: Shop around, get a good high and low price (window) for that "need"...
Step 3: Ask around here, publically and privately...
Step 4: Go get it!!! And try to keep the purchase to yourself...No need to boast about it, especially if it is a face to face deal, which is what Ihope you end up doing...
Step 5: Get proficient with that firearm...It will do you no good to let it collect dust...
Just my opinion...Seeing where this thread is going...hehehe

That actually concerns me a bit...But not much...They are rolling with the flow like a lot of other high volume dealers...

Actually, I was thinking about going today anyway...
I'm a people person...I like watching folks who attend these things, and get a feel for the mood, what is being bought, asked for, traded, and what is NOT selling or being bantered around about...
These things are great for folks like me who study the overall issue...
Besides, my "baloney meter" needs to be recalibrated...So what better place to go than Pasadena...
I now I sound horrible, but I believe we all need to keep our chins up, yes, things are looking a bit rough...But look at it this way, and it may give you some strength...Go open up yer gunsafe, and take a good look inside...
What's still in there...

Go for it.
Sounds like you have a good perspective on things.
Several regular dealers were not there and a bunch of independents took their place. Almost looked like a flea market in some ways.
I had to pick something up from bayou city knives was my main reason for going.
