I have the beginnings of a recipe for this monster...

And I have one quick question for the experts...

How many grains are there in a pound of powder??? I have a powder amount of 233 grs. MAX per round, but I am going to work up to that, and probably not come close to the MAx at all...Prolly start at about 5-10% less and work it up to some amount as I test it...

I heard that the answer to my question may be 7000 grains to a pound...But I need confirmation...

Just looking to find out how much powder (not just needing a lot of it, thats not the answer :smilelol5: ) I need to consider for this operation...

And don't even bother asking me how much trouble it was trying to find a vendor that would sell me, much less have in stock, 750 gr. AMAX Hornaday bullets...I know that is the Cadillac of bullets for this caliber, and many others, but hey, I never said I was cheap... :thumbs2:

#35 CCI's for the primers...

I think I have everything else ready to go...Looking forward to seeing how much performance I can get out of this particular facet of my hobby soon...

Consider that confirmed . .. from a gray-haired handloader.

Ah HAH!!! So I heard right...Thanks...

So if I went to the max load, that's 7000/233=30.042919

Say 30 rounds per pound of that H50BMG stuff...

Man that's a lot of boom-boom in those cases...Hehehe, my Dad is more of the reloading expert, I'll end up doing all the leg work and end up being the one pulling the one arm bandit machine...

Good thing I am not looking at a 20mm operation....Yet... :evil2: :thumbs2: "rlol"
