Alamo Ammo has Remington Golden Bullet .22lr in bulk packs in stock. Price is $249.95 for a 525 round bulk pack. That's a little over 47 1/2 cents per round.

That is obscene and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't boycott places, but I'll never order from them in the future.
SGAmmo has been pretty good to me lately.

If you think that's obscene what about Cheaper Than Dirt asking $75 for PMAGs and $1.73 per round for .223?

Needless to say, that if I considered communicating to them what I thought of their business plan here, it would NOT be in a form that would comply with the ten-year-old daughter rule...Or is is eight years old now??? I forget...

I showed this link to my wife (we happen to live in San Antonio...sheesh), and she said "We'll never buy from them again." Yep. We'll remember.

The business is free to offer it for whatever price they want. I am free to buy it or not. I might think they're stupid or poor businessmen if they're pricing beyond what the market will bear, (unless, of course, they are making sales at these high prices). I don't like the high prices (in fact, I am shocked by them). But I fortunately don't need the ammo that badly and can wait for this boom and bust cycle to mature a bit.
I would not prefer the alternative of price controls, which would simply ration the available supplies by other means (waiting in line, bribery, or whateveR). I would not prefer the alternative of mandated purchases (like Obamacare). I don't like my current choices, but I prefer to have choices.

Seems like we all know why it's "in stock".
