Ok. I'm sure I am going to get the info I need. I read a couple of responses and think I have the right idea, but I need confirmation.

I bought this: Burris MTAC 1-4x (Minus the top mounted red dot)

It's going to get mounted on an AR. Here is my question. I want to go with the 50 yard zero......

What's going to happen with all this business in the reticle? Will the yardage for each dot change? This business is confusing...

I know that with a 50 yard zero, it's not going to make that much of a difference from 0-300 meters or so (something like 9 inches of difference?). I don't plan on sharp shooting or anything, but i'd like an idea of what the dots will represent assuming a 50 yard zero.

Zero at 50 is like zeroing between 100 and 200 so the main dot is like good for 125 to 175. The other dots would shoot further. For example, the 300 dot will get you 360, the exact difference is only computed by a ballistic calculator. :thumbs2:
