The Kimber Aegis II is another quality pistol and it is the one
that a friend of mine picked out and bought. I thought it would
fit her small hand better with a short trigger so I EMAILed them
to find out about the details. They wanted about $100 for doing
it and said that a standard 1911 trigger would not fit. Since
this gun is a 9mm I almost believed them about the short trigger
but bought one anyway for $12 at a local gun shop. It fits but
there is not an "over travel" screw adjustment. When the trigger
is pulled and the slide cycles, the hammer doesn't lock back and
just follows the slide back into place. Once during the trial
shoot, it slam fired. That was kinda fun having a full auto 9mm
pistol (only 2 rounds fired) in my hand :)
I replaced the original trigger and all is well. Since there is
only $12 at steak here, I may try to drill and tap the short
trigger for the adjustment screw. No I'm not a gunsmith and don't
play one on the internet. LOL
This is just an FYI post
