I have seen the light. After all these years, I now agree that it’s fruitless to give the benefit of the doubt to people who are so obviously corrupt, so clearly malevolent, so bent on hurting innocent people for their own sick gain.
No more due process in the clear-cut case of insidious terrorism. When the facts are so clearly before all Americans, for the whole world to see, why bother with this country’s odious and cumbersome system of justice? Send the guilty monsters directly to Guantanamo Bay for all eternity and let them rot in their own mental squalor.
No, no, no. Not the wannabe sick kid who blew up the Boston marathon or the freak that’s mailing ricin-laced letters to the president. I’m talking about the real terrorist threat here in America: the National Rifle Association.
This is what we're up against. The ONLY constructive response? JOIN THE NRA if you're not already a member. Upgrade to Life Member if you're already a regular member. Recruit people into the NRA. Grow its membership rolls so big that nobody would ever dare such a thing as this fascist whore who wrote this article.

I find the refence to Nixion and his nastyness in an artical about gun control a little strange, after all Nixion was a gun grabing repub.
and we all know about opinions and what they can be like.

I find it amusing how the writer of that trash pointed to other editorials that agreed with his as ammo that the actions taken in the Senate were wrong.
Gee look...it took me all of 30 seconds and a Google search to find an editorial that went opposite of the ones he quoted:

I thought it was interesting that this author, whether he meant to or not, actually admitted that registration was the real goal here, not just the expanded background checks.
"And not only did the liars at the NRA cheat the 90 percent of Americans wanting expanded gun registration out of what they want, by cheating and extorting and misleading, they celebrated their successful deceit when they “won.”
