Recommendation need on local smiths

I would appreciate referrals to good smiths that can move the align the rear sight of a 1911 for me. I know I should just buy the sight pusher, but I don't feel like spending $100+ on a sight pusher at the moment.
Thanks.

Ed Vanden Berg has been doing all of my pistol work for more years than either of us want to admit. When it comes the tweaking sights, you need to shoot at least a 10 shot group from a known distance; ex. 25 yds. Measure the distance as carefully as you can. Then take the target with you to Ed's shop. He'll determine the group center and use the distance to the target to calculate the amount of movement.

Sounds like another strong testimonial to me.
Since I stayed neutral in my original post, I'll add now that in my neck of the woods I've run into a number of people carrying 1911s customized by Eddie Jimenea. One of our own Forum members recently had two Para Ordnance 1911s built into identical IPSC race guns, and on the CQB side, an acquaintance who's a PD Sergeant (and who trains, constantly, more like SWAT) uses only Eddie for tuning.
Eddie's been at this for over 25 years, and you've seen some national-level competitors like Athena Lee use his guns.
And if Eddie happens to see this: Nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong napakalaking tulong sa amin.

Charles,
Thanks for the advice. I would have never thought of doing that.

What does that mean?
I've heard of Eddie's reputation on 1911s. Now if I could only afford to have a gun built by him.
