SGAmmo has Australian manufactured .223 ammo in stock. Called Outback there are two loadings 1. 69 Grain Sierra Match King and 2. 55 gr Sierra Blitz King. Info on the box says 2959 FPS for the 69 gr bullet.

I ordered a case of the 69 gr ammo that arrived today. The ammo looks like jewelry there is a high polish on both brass and bullet. The primers are sealed with a pale red sealant with no crimp.

I'm hoping to get to the range this week and put some over the chronograph and see how they group.

They're proud of that ammo. A little steep for me.

Hope you have a 1:7 twist barrel.

Actually, the differences aren't really pronounced until you're > 72gr, but you do get slightly more stability with 1:7 with a 69gr bullet.

I have a 1:9, but I have shot the 69 gr SMK before and haven't had a problem. Past 200 yards I'm going for the .30-06.

It's very stable ammo and accurate in a variety of climates, http://www.outbackammo.com.au/?page_id=24 it was recommended by my outfitter for an upland hunt. I'm surprised to see it available in the U.S. I guess the current shortage is developing a lot of new opportunities for overseas ammo makers.
