Hello, how does 250 Rounds of .223 Ammo by BVAC - 55gr FMJ for $145 sound?

I'll take a box! Sounds good to me, the last 223 I bought was remanufactured at $160 for 250.

It was ultramax ammunition and it was just fine. Varied brass but no issues whatsoever.

Man, that's .64 a round.............not good in my opinion.

If you need the ammo now (for a course or something along those lines) it's not bad compared to much of what's out there.

If you are in position to wait for a month or six (or twelve) for the "pipeline" to fill back up, I would wait. My "rule of thumb" prior to the recent foolishness was that anything over $0.50 per round for plain-jane .223/5.56 was highway robbery.

That's $.58/round.

This place has 100 round packs for $.52/round: http://centermassfirearms.com/index.php ... -pack.html. It's commercially remanufactured, but that's an 11% savings over the BVAC ammo you're talking about. I honestly don't know if this ammo is any good, but for that price, it might be worth buying one package to see what's what.

Just came back from Academy today and they have no limit on 223 but I don't need any. I didn't buy any. I think 58 cents is a little more than I want to pay. The pipeline is opening up again and unless you absolutely need it I would wait a bit. Primers, powder all are much more available. Last week I bought some 5.56 at Academy for about 50 cents a round but they had a limit to one box of 20. Today no limit.

Glad I kept my stripped clips, and I got all 250 bullets.

Its funny because that one single bullet is an extra. Makes it 251 bullets.

My academy only allows you to buy one box per caliber and only up to 3 boxes per day. Which is freaking stupid..Even with bird shot ammo. Academy is not the place to buy ammo in my opinion.

Yesterday, Cabela's in Allen had tons of .223 Ammo starting at $7 per 20 rds or $0.35 per round. In old times, it was $0.25 per rd.
