I finally mounted the scope on my first 7.62mm build. It is going to the range for test fire and zero on Friday. This was also my first time building my own upper from scratch. I must say I am very pleased with it. I don't know if I'll ever buy a preassembled upper again! So, here's the details.

Black Rain Ordnance billet upper and lower receivers
Geissele National Match trigger
Fulton Armory Criterion 20", 1/12 barrel in target grey
Battlecomp
JP Enterprises Low Mass BCG
JP Enterprises Captured Spring Buffer System
JP Enterprises adjustable gas block
PRI Gen III Delta Free Float forearm
Magpul PRS stock
Ergo sure grip with palm shelf
Harris bipod
GDT offset irons
Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 scope
Burris PEPR mount

And, here's the pictures!

Have you weighed it? I have a very similar rifle...a few different parts like a 18" Noveske heavy barrel instead of your 20", I have an SWFA scope similar to your Vortex, and a Troy Battle Rail instead of your Delta, but otherwise the same rifle. Mine weighs about 17 lb without a magazine inserted. REALLY accurate, but no fun to carry around.

13.8 pounds unloaded. The PRI Delta forearm is carbon fiber, which gives me some savings. I wonder where the other weight savings is coming from?

TAM how does this compare to your FN 308?

13 lbs might be helpful for a 308, but that is still rather hefty. Looks good though, I do not think I would want to carry it far with 100 rds of ammo or so.
