Unnecessary Road Construction?

Is it just me, or was FM 1382 better before they repaved it? What was really wrong with I-20 around 360 to repave that? Please, if someone out there knows why these projects are going on, I'd feel a bit less bitter.

I haven't been out there lately but I don't doubt you are right. A few years ago they retopped FM 1387 from Waxahachie to Midlothian. I used to love that road on the motorcycle, but after repaving, there are ridges in the curves that make it dangerous.
They are in the process of retopping FM664 around Red Oak even though it was smooth as silk before. It seems they have unlimited funds for retopping good roads, but no money for roads that actually need repair.
