30.06 Question for the Lawyers

Numerous threads discuss whether or not a non-compliant 30-06 sign should be ignored as being meaningless under the law. The down side of this course could be the cost, time, and agony of having to defend yourself in court.

The question for the lawyers or other legal-types: Is there any case law where non-compliant signs have been challenged? Has a case of this type every gone to court?

I will ignore a mini sign such as taco cabana. I won't ignore something that is an objective calling. a typo. I will ignore it if its not at an entrance that I used.

There is a well undersized 30.06 sign on the glass entrance door of a local City Hall. I know that it may not stand up in court, but since I visit this location on a regular basis, I try to honor the intent. I am also interested if there has been a case tried on this subject.
