Magsafe Ammo

LGS has several boxes of Magsafe on the shelf. I'm looking for some opinions on it. Specifically the 55g 44 Spl Swat. SD ammo for my Bulldog isn't easy to come by these days but I don't want to settle on questionable bullets.

I used to load my .357 Sig with Magsafe in the late 90's and I found the recoil to be very manageable. Other than that the round can be expensive, hard to find and finally I don't buy into the magic bullet theory... :anamatedbanana

55 grain bullets for a .44 Special? Aren't bullet weights for that cartridge usually more in the 180-220 grain range?

All of my 44 Spl handloads are 240g, so that's why I'm asking about the 55g. That does seem light but also why normal 44 Spl is around 850fps and these are rated at 2000fps. I believe the Magsafe Swat aren't really frangible like a Glaser but large pellets suspended in epoxy. Search for MAG44W10.

Not looking for a magic bullet either however I haven't seen a gold dot or hydrashok on the shelf for this caliber in months.
