This is ironic - the offer is "ramping up tension" but the guy is getting death threats

. We lived in DeLand for about ten years before moving to Texas.
DELAND – The DeLand gun shop owner who offered George Zimmerman a free handgun to replace the one being held as evidence by the Department of Justice said he is now receiving death threats.
Pat Johnson, who is president of Pompano Pat's, told the News-Journal on Sunday that "the violence needs to end" and that his offer to give Zimmerman a replacement Kel-Tec PF-9 is neither racially nor politically motivated. Nor, Johnson said, is it a publicity stunt. But a local religious leader said the offer is only ramping up tension.

So is that "local religious leader" going to counsel his parishioners to stop issuing death threats because it ramps up the violence?
Get real.....some of those folks would like nothing better than a world in which they can threaten people with death to make them shut up.............like the Brown Shirts did to german Jews......

He was supposed to, but Eric Holder placed a DOJ hold on all evidence from the trial,
including the gun and ammo, effectively denying Zimmerman his right to carry. It's almost as if the DOJ wants him to be defenseless when the scumbags come for him.

And of course the solution to that is for him to obtain a different gun, assuming his CHL status isn't still screwed up because of all this. I would assume his CHL was suspended prior / during the trial...
It would be nice if Eric Holder also opened up "civil rights" investigations on those making the death threats....like that will ever happen....

Ya think?
File this whole nonsense under "reasons for needing to own more than one gun."
