This is a heads up for anyone in the DFW area who may work in a retail setting.

The above link is to a WFAA news story that originated from the Rockwall, Texas police department.

The BG for whom they are looking wears an orange safety vest, goes into businesses, and tells the employees
that he is there to inspect their fire extinguishers. He then goes to the rear of the businesses and steals women's
wallets from their purses, or whatever else he can find. This is THEFT.

But in one case he actually pulled a handgun on the victim. This was an ARMED ROBBERY.

On or about 7/30 or 7/31/13 he drove far from Rockwall to Corinth in Denton County, Texas. He pulled his scam
in both the Hallmark Card Store and NV Cupcakes. NV Cupcakes is owned by 2 Vietnamese sisters who work hard
at making a living. (I don't know the Hallmark people). It is unknown to me just what transpired in both of those
businesses, but the Corinth PD made the rounds today, distributing the 1-pager from the link above.

The above 2 Corinth stores are located in the Albertson's shopping center on Swisher Road/FM2181, across the
street from Whataburger.

Although not listed in the story above the suspect has been seen driving 2 different vehicles:
* Gold Mazda 626. This would be an older car since 626's haven't been made for years.
* White Ford Explorer. No further identifying data.

No license plates have been provided for either vehicle.

I find it interesting that the man's Driver's License picture has been provided. Apparently the LEO's know his name.

BOLO - Be On the LookOut for this man. The LEO's believe that since he has used his handgun in at least 1 armed
robbery, he could shoot someone next time.

SIA,
For your edification, Texas, unlike most other states, does not call that Armed Robbery. They call it Aggravated Robbery. I do not know why the different terminology, just that it is what it is called here.

OCW:
Thank you for clarifying the proper term. I always try to use the exact terms for things, but I was not
up on the definition.
