Knife companies going to allow switchblade sales in Texas?

I know some knife companies, such as Benchmade, sell switchblades via their website. I believe you have to send them paperwork saying you are military/LEO. However, when September 1st comes around, do you think they'll allow Texas access? I'm sure none of y'all work for knife companies, but would like to know your opinion.
And yes, I know you can probably start buying them in local stores, but more interested on the online purchasing aspect.

Same here, blade HQ took my order and sent my product. Switchblades are legal to own ,collect etc.just cannot carry at this time.Sept1st that changes but you still need to be aware of local laws.

Why were switchblades verboten?
"Westside story?
From what I read of the new law one can legally carry a switchblade after September 1.
Did I read that correctly?
(I don't trust my understanding of legalese, it's like trying to understand insurance...)

Many manufacturers won't sell automatics direct except to police and military by company policy regardless of state law.

bayouhazard,
Are you familiar with those that will sell to civilians?
If I can legally carry one I'd like to, but I'd want a high quality one. As it is I carry a Spyderco, but if I take a fall off my bike due to dog attack, I don't know if I could get the blade out fast enough to save my bacon. I darn sure can't get out my pistol very quickly as it'll be in zippered pack.
Yesterday, while out on a bike ride I experienced three separate dog attacks - One almost caused me to fall. This happened to be a pit bull. He surprised me. He came out of a ditch by a house I've ridden by for years without a dog ever appearing. I was so surprised I wobbled and almost lost control of my bike in my haste to get my pepper spray off my belt. I managed to get the spray out and hosed him. In this case, he stopped and started rubbing his face on the asphalt while I pedaled as quickly as possible to get away.

Thanks Seventhsword - I'll look into one.
I'm guessing there's still a legal maximum blade length to be observed?

Well, I've done a bit of research on "automatic" knives as knife sellers prefer to call them.
According to the knife sellers I spoke with, if one has a CHL in Texas, one can carry a double edged auto knife as of Sept 1st. No CHL - no double edged for you. Why we get this perk is unknown to me...?
Benchmade knives are far less costly on the internet than buying from a Texas brick and mortar store dealer, at least as far as I've researched, but auto knives have to be purchased in Texas - No out of state purchases for auto knives according to Federal law. Arrrggghhh.
One of the Benchmade models I'm interested in cost $195.00 at a Houston dealer - Same knife on the internet: $136.00
