Just bought a new Springfield XDS - the BEST little gun ever

Don't get me wrong. I love my full size Springfield XDm and consider it overall the best handgun, but during the Texas summer months, I had to get something smaller. After a thorough research, reviews and tries, I opted to go ahead and get the XDS - the greatest subcompact gun. It feels so right when you hold it and shoot it. I don't know how I have lived without it before!
Just wanted to share...

I decided to go with the 9 mm for a larger magazine capacity...

I agree. I am amazed that such a small gun can maintain accuracy even at 45 feet. Even after reading the reviews I didn't believe it, but that's what makes this gun stand out among the smaller guns. A 3.3" barrel ends up being so accurate, and I believe it is because of the very comfortable grip. I expected it to be shooting left, because it doesn't quite fill up my hand, but the grip helps you control it so well.
Thanks

Also the .40's Recoil wasnt bad AT ALL!!! I was really impressed! The 9mm will be even smoother!!!!

I haven't hear of the .40 XDs either, but I just thought it was something new they mentioned in this thread. I got the XDs 9 mm today -
Brand new in the case with all the bells and whistles. People love the new car smell, but I LOVE THE NEW GUN smell with its new factory case smell. I even take time to read the manuals. When I wear the XDs I can't even tell I have a gun. It's so easy to conceal and to draw. I still think my XDm is the best gun, but during the summer months here in Texas I have to choose my XDs...

Maybe they should start making the XDs in .40 so I wont have to admit my mistake.

Manuals? Guns come with
manuals??!?

I would have loved to have gotten a .40, if they made it. My XDm is a .40, and I thinks it's perfect caliber. 9 mm seems flimsy compared to it, and the .45 seems too bulky; but for a small gun I chose the 9 mm.
Yep, manuals - it's a good read. When you love the gun, its manual reads better than watching the Matrix movies!
