I am more excited buying a new gun than a car: IS IT NORMAL?

I love guns, and even a brand new "cool" car doesn't get my juices flowing as much as a brand new gun out of a case. I bring it home, and it has that NEW GUN smell. I clean it thoroughly and take to the range... Shoot a couple hundred rounds with it... Bring it home again... Clean it again... And take it shooting again...
That's addictive! Something must be wrong with me.
Don't get me wrong. I love getting a new car, too, but it wears off quickly. A good quality gun will last a lifetime (unlike a car)...
Just wanted to share...

Another reason to celebrate a new gun over a new car is that it generally doesn't come with 5 more years of payments.

New guns are always great to get, and the new owners always "looooove" them, until they are posted for sale 6 months later to "fund a new project."

Only 150,000 miles in 20 years??!! I do that in less than 5... You must work a block away from your house!

I am not one of those people. I only
commit to buying the guns that I commit to keeping for life. If I only want to try out a gun — I borrow it from friends (who collectively have every gun ever made) or rent it at the range. So, no new projects via selling
my guns...

I was trying to decide which I preferred shopping for... is the average gun counter guy a more enjoyable purchasing experience than the average car salesman?

Are there gun counter guys?

I make my decision based on the research, and I walk into the store either to check something out or to purchase something that I have decided already. They have never even tried to talk me into anything, which I respect. Definitely a better class of people than car salesmen...

You know, there's a solution to that... it's called cash.

Check up yourself man, you can be loaded with 3-4 cars, but not with 12-18 firearms. New cars has still someplace in my heart, but I like 2-3 yrs old cars that smell like cars discounted by 40%.

takes a lot less time to buy a gun than a car from a stealership. i've been buying cars from the same guy at the same dealership for 20 years and i still sometimes have to wait to get the paperwork through financing.
