Yes.

This is my go to pocket carry gun. Easy to conceal and I shoot it well.

I was looking for a pocket pistol and ended up buying one. I've had zero problems and quite like it.

Thanks. I have been researching a ton and surprisingly have found little negative. Considering its gun talk, similar likes must be a good thing! Will likely own by the weekend!!

Oh you can find plenty of negative thing online not to mention people who just dislike Taurus because of the taurus lock. I know they did some major re-engineering on the gun early but I figure that for the most part they seem to have fixed the major issues by know. That is a point I wouldn't want an early manufacture gun or if I got one would expect to send it to Taurus for work. It is such a small gun that it makes even the .380 feel like a handful to some, I know my brother disliked shooting it, and you really have to be firm when shooting. Mags are hard to find and the promag ones seem to be generally crap so expect to pay a bit or search like crazy for extra mags.

I believe I have a pretty objective opinion on this pistol.

I bought it for pocket carry. It was great for this purpose. Easily carried and concealed and I loved it for that. The gun was as accurate as I was and wasn't overly difficult to shoot even with my large hands.

My biggest complaint about it was two fold.

1 the trigger was sloppy. Not just stiff I understand the need for that but it just wasnt clean and crisp.

2 it was painful to shoot. It is a really snappy pistol, I compare it to a small 38 shooting 38+p rounds. Very lightweight and snappy, it made it difficult to shoot more than 4 or 5 magazines at the range.

I can find people who say a Glock is
but I will always carry a 19 as my Edc. Anyone can find negative if they are looking for it. i was just pleased with the positive i saw. nothing like a johnny rain cloud!

I am looking for something to pocket carry. My only other option is a Bersa .380, which I like, but it is a little heavy for pocket carry and i have been ankle carrying but less face it, thats a difficult draw! But with what I do and what I am required to wear to work (wear I can not carry) I need something I can use when it isn't possible to carry my G19. I don't want to spend $400 plus on something less than part time. I want to have a "get me home to my family" gun.

Hey you were the one who said they didn't find anything negative If all you wanted was positive then say so. Otherwise I'm not sure of your point. I addressed that there may have been very good reason for some of the negative but that I personally thought that those issues had been remedied.

If price is a real big issue then I think the TCP is a very good gun and a great deal. There are many, many different options and each have pluses and minuses. I am more than comfortable enough with this gun to use it regularly. There are several other .380 that would also work, the Ruger LCP, Sig 938, diamondback, Hellcat II, but they do tend to be priced $350 or more. Some like the Kahr are just a bit to large and others like the Keltec just worry me with their reliability. I decided .380 was the smallest round but if I was willing to go .32 then that would add all sorts of choices but that is the type of decisions that must be made. The Doubletap was certainly on my list and a gun I still want but I desided to go smaller caliber but more shots. The keltec .32 is even smaller than the TCP and I have the confidence in it that I don't have in the keltec .380 but I chose to stay with a larger caliber.

Personaly I like the TCP

I actually said little...I read the post about mags being hard to find and where people said they were snappy to shoot.I meant the Johnny Rain Cloud to be funny, a little sarcastic. Didn't mean to offend, sorry if I did. I appreciate your insight in your post. I've handled several of those guns and hope this one feels a little better than they did.

The TCP is one of three Taurus pistols I use for carry, depending on weather and dress, and I've been happy with mine. I know there were numerous complaints with the early series but Taurus seems to have ironed them out. The real problems were on guns with serial numbers ending in A or B, but even most of them were OK.

Recoil is a bit snappy but but not bad. I have big fingers so my problem is when the gun recoils my trigger finger hits the front of the trigger guard. That actually starts hurting before the palm or wrist does. I've been using Freedom RNFP for range ammo and Hornady FTX as my carry ammo. I've run about 200 rounds of the Freedom and 100 of the Hornady with a couple of FTF in the first few mags on my first range trip. No problems since.

Have you thought about a pocket holster? There was a recent thread on the topic.

I know I will get a pocket holster and will look for the thread on them. What kind do you prefer?

For back pocket carry I use a Talon but I've been looking a a Recluse because might be a little thinner. For front pocket carry I use a Remora.

I seldom carry my TCP IWB, but if I do I use the Remora or a Versacarry XS.

make sure you get the 2nd generation. I had the first. They fixed something to prevent jams and came out with the new one. I sold mine at full price :thumbs2: and just need to go buy the 2nd. I had already bought some mags for the 2nd gen. I tried that holster that looks like a wallet that you shoot through. Wow I did not like that and returned it. A simple blackhawk nylon in the pocket holster looked just like my wallet...

The first time my son, then 11? I think shot it, he was doing head shots at 3-5 yards... I had to laugh at that as I know many "professionals" that can't do that.

Talon isn't a "get a Forrest Gump injury" holster.

I chose a black holster because it blends better with the TCP, so if the top should get a little exposure it wouldn't be as noticeable.
