Eligibility and Expungement

I have a quick question, maybe someone can clarify.

I have a class B misdemeanor on my record from back when I was in college.

I was in a confrontation and ended up being the aggressor since I did not call the police first. Anyway, it ended up being a Terroristic Threat and I had to complete 9 months of probation.

From what I understand I have to wait 5 years from the completion date of my probation ending (may 2, 2004), and not 5 years from the final disposition (aug 6, 2003).

Am I correct with my information?

Could I expedite anything by getting this thing expunged?

Texas Law does not allow expunction in your situation.

Your 5 years is from date of conviction, not of end of probation.

Hrrrrmmmmm...there might be some bad info circulating in some classes. I distinctly remember my instructor saying that the 5 years (or 10 years for a feloney) was from the date of final adjudication, ie. finished probation, finished parole, etc. Not that I'm questioning you TXI, because I look to your posts to help familiarize myself with Texas laws and the system, but I do think there may be some confusion 'out there' on that particular issue.
