I was a late bloomer when it comes to guns. Just curious how old others were when they first received a CHL (Texas or elsewhere).

Tried to apply on my 21st birthday, but the system wouldn't allow it, so did it the next day!

i moved to Texas three years ago and got my chl as soon as I could at 56.

Unless some has already done so, it would be interesting to see a poll of the age of CHL folks today.

I was 18 when I got my first one in Pa back in 1967. Then went into the military for 20 years and didn't have one through it all. When I came back to Tx in 1988 there wasn't any available. Moved to Maine in 95 and had CCP there til I moved back to Tx again 2005. Had to surrender the Maine one when I moved, didn't get my Tx CHL til 2011.
