A friend just posted this on Facebook: http://m.click2houston.com/news/mom-man ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Says a man tried to take a couple of little girls right out of the car with the mom there. She reached toward the glove compartment and claimed to have a gun, and apparently that scared him off. Glad it worked; can't help but hope that maybe she'll think about actually getting a gun. In any case, I sure hope they catch this guy and soon.

Every mother's nightmare!! :shock: :shock:

He was playing children's music?! That just totally creeped me out, on top of the things he said and did.

God bless this mom for her quick thinking! Luckily, her bluff worked this time.

I have to share this one on FB too MotherBear. I wonder if they ever caught him?

My only critique is putting her name out there.

There were several child abductions around the time our daughter was born and this is why I bought my first gun and then my CHL. The wife didn't leave the house with our daughter without me until she was almost 4 years old. I don't bluff. One reason I'm lousy at poker.

Someone in her area should offer her some training.

Thanks for sharing this story.

Which part? It was the wife's choice not to take her out without me. Or the gun? Daughter is now 11y and enjoys shooting with me and we have a nice little collection that is growing. She has a .22LR rifle and handgun, but likes the rifle better.
