The State Fair of Texas

As we all know the Great State Fair of Texas has begun and in its second week. I checked the website to see if I could carry, and much to my surprise you can. So today me and the family and a friend went to the fair. As we walked up there it was a "security" person taking a wand and scanning everyone. I must say I got a little nervous so I pulled out my wallet got my card out and showed her. She then yelled at someone else and said "Do I need to take Him in". The other person said no just show your license to the police officer on the other side, and so i did. My point to this, What is the point of wanding people if you can carry, and why yell across to someone else, get better training. And what is the point of showing the police officer, in which case the officer did say "thank you Mr. Guess have a great day." Not sure how I feel about it but don't think I liked it. Thoughts? :txflag: :???:

Thread already running. But you should have just asked to see the police officer and not shown your chl to "security".

^ that's exactly what I did Yesterday. Told security I needed to see an officer. They asked if I had chl. I confirmed. They ask me to get with officer after paying admission. No problems at all.

I did read threads already runner here. Which helped a lot. No surprises.
