Caddo National Grasslands - TX CHL?

Hi All,

I may be heading to the Caddo National Grasslands NE of Bonham this weekend. I'm not hunting, just camping, but will be there with others who are hunting.

As far as I can tell, that area is under joint federal ( BLM ) and state ( TPWD ) ownership / control / management.

If that's the case, I'm not aware of any TX CHL restrictions that would be in effect there, assuming it's not 30.06 posted. It would be kind of ridiculous to do that I suppose, considering all the high-powered rifles in use for hunting :biggrinjester:

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,
Katmandu

You can carry with your CHL in a Federal National Park.

...but you may not enter any federal structure/s where federal employees may be and that could include toilets.

In Virginia, National Battlefield sites are NOT off limits for CC, but the buildings ARE off limits.
I expect, as Old Gringo points out, you'll find signage similar to this...
Even if you don't see signs, Federally-owned buildings are off limits, just like the Post Office.

IMO, I would not hesitate to use a stand-alone toilet facility, but I'm not certain whether this would be a violation.
