Anyone have any feed back about this new gun? I read a review & it was all good. (Striker Fire & very concealable)
This has my attention & retails for $375. I believe it carries 14+1.

The triggers on these guns are not very good. They are heavy and not smooth. However, they are reliable shooters from my experience and if you can get past the trigger it is not a bad deal. However, for a few more bucks you can get a good used M&P and have a better gun overall.

I agree about the heavy feel and I also noticed it had a "rough" feel to it. Almost like sand was in the trigger mechanism. My bud ended up getting rid of his. Said he wanted to trade it in for a "zip gun". Not really on the zip gun but he was not happy with it. There are better guns to be had in this price range...IMHO.

Used M&Ps, used Glocks, used XDs, and used Kahr's are all available at pretty good prices. All have better triggers. And the Kahrs are all single-stack guns and very concealable, even compared to others.

I had a Sigma 9mm about 3 years ago
it was a very well working gun. No fail to fires or fail to ejects in probably 1000 rounds or so.
I did end up selling it, as I found other guns I thought would be better for concealment and did not have a "need" for it any more.

Looking back, I did not need the money and really should have kept it.

As others have said, the trigger is long (and stiff - about 12 lbs if I remember right) but nothing wrong with that.
Just means you have to really intentionally pull the trigger, rather than just a slight nudge on the trigger to go boom.

So if it comes down to economics, then the Sigma is a good gun to own and it should go boom every time you pull the trigger.

If you have a few extra bucks and want something a bit easier trigger, a bit better feel in your hand (imo) and a bit nicer 'lines', check out the SW M&P line
the 9mm is about $520 and the .40 is about $530 at Academy.

or check out the Springfield XD line. They are comparable in pricing to the M&P line of SW.

I was reading about this new gun in Guns & Ammo magizine & that made it sound like a must have gun. Never the whole real story. LOL.
Im a Glockadic but my second carry choice would probably be the M&P series or XD.

I had the 9mm version...Not a bad cheap trunk gun. I tried an upgraded trigger and went back to the original... I'm sure the 40 is the same. Price is right. Just practice and one can overcome a heavy trigger.

The SD9 or 40VE have about 7-8 lb. trigger compared to about 13 + for the Sigma. The SDxxVE and Sigma VE use same magazine with just the mag floor plate being different. I own both 9 & 40 in SD and Sigma. They are good, inexpensive reliable pistols. I use the SD40VE as my HD weapon with rail LCD flashlight. They are fun guns on the range and have been 100% reliable and eat any ammo I've fed. I've got smaller pistols I CC.

Im looking for a new good quality low priced gun for my Grandson (15yrs). Thats why this new Sigma seemed good. I normally wouldnt want a Sigma but this new VE sounded different when I read about it in Guns & Ammo's new Handgun edition magazinethat just came out

The SDxxVE replaces the Sigma which has been discontinued. They are basically same pistol except SD has a "real' Picatinny rail (the Sigma did not) and the trigger is roughly 6+/- lbs. less pull. They use the same holsters, and as previously stated, can use same magazines. The trigger and slide can feel a bit gritty, but get better with use - and again, have been 100% reliable. It's a good bang for the dollars IMO.

My buddy has a Sigma .40 & he was having all kinds of problems getting on target consistently. I let him use my .40 M&P & it was 100x better for him. He'd like to upgrade to an M&P as soon as possible as well.

i have a sigma 40ve about 3 years old. it is very reliable and i have had no problems with it i conceal it well and im a little guy 5'4'' on a good day and thin. i took my chl class with it and passed well only a few shots low left but it does have a long heavy trigger. it is worth ever bit of the 299 retail i paid for it. i know there are a lot of haters because it isn't a glok or a (insert brand here). but in the long run it what i could afford and i carried it for 2 years with im sure over a thousand rounds through it. i carried it in a white hat holster iwb. Now i carry a Taurus pt709 slim. it was also around 300 dollars and its only failure was cheap reload ammo. i got at the range that i had a problem with in my other guns also. so i don't blame the gun for a ftf. take a good look at the Taurus i really like it.
