Best ammo for 2" .357?

Just got myself a Taurus 605, and haven't had time to test out much different ammo. What I'm using after a quick bit of experimentation is .38+P Gold Dots in it, with two speed strips of 125gr Hornady Frontier .357s.
The Hornadys seem to have a good bit of punch, and the ballistics table backs that up, but the specs there are for an 8" barrel. Anybody done much experimenting with 2" .357s to get a better idea of what works best?

Speer makes some ammo that is specifically designed for short bbl pistols.
That's what I keep in my Taurus.

It is also what was recommended to me for my 642. It is very accurate ammunition.

Speer gold dot for short barrel
do yourself a favor and find a local police supply shop
I can buy a box of 50 for about 20 bucks vs 20 rounds for 20 bucks!
same stuff
if you look at the part #s they are the same
the stuff at the police store won't specify "short barrel" on it whereas the civillian stuff will
but, it's the same round
I have shot the 38 +P 135g from my 642, it's accurate and stout but controllable

If you want to use a 357mag load, try the Remington 125gr Golden Saber. It's hotter than any 38 +P load but not full power 357. The 125gr 357 Mag Gold Dot load is a max load.
