The Robertson family-owned Duck Commander has teamed up with firearms manufacturer Mossberg to release their own line of guns.
Mossberg is releasing 12 types of Duck Commander guns, including 9 shotguns, 2 semiautomatic weapons and a pistol.
Mossberg spokeswoman Linda Powell told CNN that they have begun shipping the guns to distributors.
I've never watched more than 5 minutes of the show - it doesn't really interest me that much. With all the media attention that they've received, however, due to the 'suspension' of their patriarch, I've become a sideline fan. I hope their line of Mossbergs are of good quality - I might buy one just to spite the folks at A&E.

Got to ride that wave while you can. I don't blame them for marketing themselves as much as possible.

I don't think you'd be spiteing them at all. I think that whole thing was an engineered publicity stunt.

If it was, whoever came up with it is a genius.

I've had a 500A for a while. Performed flawlessly. Can't ask much more from a firearm. It was a great deal - less than $200 brand new.

I would suspect A&E owns the rights to "Duck Dynasty" so they will be making most of the money not the robertsons. I would not give them a dime.

They are not marketed under the Duck Dynasty name. They are sold under the "Duck Commander" label which is owned by the Robertson family.

Utterly not interested in the endorsement of rich mouthbreathing hillbillies on shotguns. I can't stand the show, can't stand the people, and can't stand the hype.
EDIT: I still like Mossberg though.

Cedar Park Dad,

I will still Mossberg despite this. The timing of this announcement is rather convenient.
I will give those Robertson folks credit, they are not stupid. They cashed in already by producing something people want and now they've put together quite a brand.

Just... wow.
Stereotype much, do we?

Makes you wonder what people say about him when he leaves the room.
Did he leave the room yet?
