I'd be interested in seeing some tests by someone not endorsing it. I would be worried about it having issues penetrating. Their tests don't show that, of course.

I agree the concept is interesting.

I also agree with those who want to see independent tests before getting too excited over the latest miracle bullet du jour that does everything really, really well.

I could do without the dramatic voice in the video and the multiple clips of a guy firing a full auto 9mm.

Even FMJ bullets work pretty well when you're flinging them out at that rate.

Just another take on frangible ammunition. All the corny voices in the world won't make it penetrate enough.

There's so little structure around the "point" that I'm not sure it qualifies.

The ban is on expanding bullets which every hollow point is suppose to do

The military uses lots of hollow points......just not in most of the issued M4s. But the 5.56x45mm 77 grain OTM (Open Tipped Match) is a hollowpoint, as is the 175 grain Sierra Matchking used in most 7.62x51 NATO/.308 chambered sniper rifles.

But the standard load for most of their issue pistols and issue infantry rifles is an FMJ.

Yes, I meant in reference to the round being discussed. I should have been more specific.

Interesting concept. If it is what the marketing pitch says it is, it will be proven in time. Otherwise, it will fall by the wayside just like every other fad round.

I can just hear the assailant's attorney now: "Mr. Napier, why did you feel that it was necessary to inflict such cruel and horrible damage on my client when you claim that all you wanted him to do was stop?"

And the DA saying in your trial for multiple assaults with a deadly weapon: "Mr Napier, would you watch with the jury this promotional video which clearly shows the danger to innocent bystanders from this product?"
