I'm sure it's legal for people who don't need registered machinegun parts, like millitary and law enforcement.

It wouldn't be legal for peons like us, because it was produced after the closing of the MG registry.

Well, the patent was accepted in 1998, so I feel pretty sure they werent produced prior to 1986 when the NFA Registry was closed to regular civillians.

I'm also assuming that the BATFE will consider that part a machinegun, which, if they haven't they most definitely will.
