Now, It is black on Latino, let us see the MSNBC's Al Sharpten going Anti-racial on this case!!
An Orlando man is facing second-degree murder charges after he pursued and shot a young man who he suspected was a burglar. However, according to police documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, the man claims he only shot the suspect after he was attacked and feared for his own life.

I will call this case: (1/Zimmerman) case.

Can we just wall off Florida already (along with NY and California)? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Chasing a guy when you're not a cop-BAD DOG BADD!!! :nono:

EDIT: tries to apprehend BG and pops BG when BG puts hands in pants claiming thought BG had gun. Turns out BG did in fact have a gun.
That complicates things...

Calling this a Zimmerman type case is a stretch IMHO.

How is it the same?
The two cases involve a CHL and a dead guy - other than that they have very little in common.

The media appears to be trying to make more out of the case that there is actual substance.

Probably so. Bad and/or sensational news sells papers and attracts viewers...and there is no war news at the moment.

Shooter was in the wrong.

There are a lot of similarities. It reads like he also took the law into his own hands like GZ and ended up being allegedly assaulted by the hoody wearing assailant. All we need is a bag of skittles to be found and were good for round II. These cases will surely cause politicians to jump all over the "stand your ground law".

Zimmerman, never claimed that he in hot pursuit, or he seized to do so when 911 operator told him not do so. Martin was not armed, but he assaulted Zimmerman. Here, the dead guy is armed, but it is not clear if he attempted to, or in fact, assaulted the shooter. Police says the the dead guy was shot in the back. Too many variables at this time.

Where is the popcorn? :clapping: :clapping:

I respectfully disagree. There is no evidence whatsoever that GZ took the law into his own hands. He called the police and attempted to be a good witness. This current case is completely different - the guy pursued with the intent to detain and pulled his firearm while doing so. GZ did not pull his firearm until he was on his back getting pounded. He shot one time in the chest to stop the threat. From what we are being told, this hoodie wearer was shot multiple times in the back and back of the neck.
This is apples and oranges from the get go.

This won't get too much traction due to demographic similarities between the suspect and the dead guy. Also, in Zimmerman and from what I read in this article, "Stand Your Ground" doesn't enter in. It will have to be a self defense defense, that was the case in Zimmerman and was a lot more clear cut.
