Situational Awareness (or Lack Of)

Talk about being in the 'white zone'. Unfortunately this is how most people go around in the world.
Bob and Irene McKeown, from Scotland, were locking their front door when the bear approached them but the elderly couple walked away without noticing it. The couple only spotted the dangerous creature when it started brushing up against Mr McKeown's leg after they had walked to their car. The bear clawed at Mr McKeown as he put his wife into the vehicle, and then he slammed the car door shut and rushed to the house to call for help.

How in the world do you miss a bear staring you in the face. If it was a snake it would have bit him. :smilelol5:

I think these people were in front of me in Wal-Mart Monday?

AndyC might have reacted differently. He'd have held the bear up at the muzzle of his FAL, and stolen its lunch money. "rlol"

Pasadena is where I moved from when I left California for Texas. It backs up against some foothills, and bear encounters are fairly common there.

I laughed harder at you laughing at your own joke than I did the joke. :rolll
