Thoughts on Magnifiers

I am looking to get a magnifier for my Eotech. The ones offered by Eotech seem outrageously expensive. Any recommendations for something of good quality that won't break the bank? I have heard mixed reviews on the Mako magnfiers, but the price seems right.

I have an EOTech 3X on an ARMS flip-to-side mount. My son has a Mako on a ARMS-knockoff flip-to-side mount. I like mine. He seems to like his. These are not sniper rifles, so I'm not sure that there is any real difference, unless it is in the quality of the glass or something. I can't tell, myself.
That said, if you're you're going to go with a 1X RDS or reflex sight, I would consider a magnifier to be an essential accessory, whether you keep it mounted or not.

Thanks. My poor eyes and subpar skill rarely justify top-of-the-line stuff, but I don't want to buy stuff that is clearly junk.

There is a slight external difference in quality, but I can't honestly say if there is a REAL difference in quality.......on the magnifiers. The mounts are a different thing. The ARMS mount is rock solid. I wouldn't go to war with the knock-off version.

I've got a
Primary Arms 3x magnifier and have been happy with it for the price. I have it on a QD flip to side mount and usually don't leave it on the rifle when at home (go to long gun for HD), but use it occasionally when at the range.
