Re: Budget Red-dot Sight Reviews

Sadly, I have taken the trip down "Cheap RDS Trail" and have tossed a few in the trash trying to save some money.
I had a Sightmark like the one reviewed. It didn't hold zero, hard to see. Tossed.
I had a "Eotech Clone" from some dealer at the local gun show. Junk, with warranty. Sent off unit on my dime, got back new junk.
I HAVE the Bushnell TR25 on my FS2000. Fantastic! Simple, small, works. Holds zero, plenty of brightness settings. Buy this one if you are shopping
I HAVE the Lucid HD7 Gen3 on my M&P15-22. I don't like the way the FOV is, compared to say the Bushnell. The laser intrudes a little from the left (inside the unit) and it is distracting.
And the other gripe is what the reviewer mentioned; you can change the aiming reticles, but it is *possible* to have it "in between" settings and your POA will be off! Yes there are detents you can feel, but I don't like this 'feature'. That said, the HD7 has the most 'quality' build and features of any of the other RDS units I have looked at. I would recommend it if you want a tough, large, multi-reticle RDS.
Clearly, the Bushnell (of these selected) is the best reliable unit.
