I print my own, that way I can customize the text and just print up more when I need them.

I would say, "I have never been convicted of a crime" (if that were the case).

Saying, "I have no class A or B misdemeanors on my record for the past five years" makes it sound like you had one 6 years ago.

Maybe some of us in our stupid youth HAVE comitted the equivilant of a class A or B misdemeanor.

I didn't want to try any misdirection with my cards; I wanted to lay the facts out in black and white. I leave that kind of misdirection up to our opponents.

EDIT: This came out a bit rougher than I intended, I meant no disrespect.

By handing out these cards, aren't you admitting to the fact that you are carrying a handgun, and thereby are no longer concealed and in violation of your license? That's what my instructor told me...don't tell, don't show, don't admit.

Nah.
If the card said, "I AM CARRYING A GUN AND WON'T ENTER YOUR ESTABLISHMENT" then maybe.
Texas Law wrote:PC §46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER. (a) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder carries a handgun on or about the license holder's person under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and intentionally fails to conceal the handgun
We've had discussions on wether verbal disclosure counts as failure to conceal, and while I can't remember the details, the concensus was that saying you had a gun on you wasn't failure to conceal. It might fall under other bits of the penal code, but not under failure to conceal.

Having said that, it's wise advice; it's rarely a good idea to announce to anyone, "I HAVE A GUN!"

Nope...

It could be misconstrued, but you are only informing them that you do not agree with their policy...

All this really does is reinforce both sides opinion on the issue...

Nitrogen, do you think it would be a good idea to add something like "I will list your business on texas3006.com and texasCHLforum.com"?
