I have 1K of Large Rifle Primers but I need some LR Mag Primers for my new 300 Win Mag load.
I can either trade some of my Large Rifle Primers for Large Rifle Mag Primers.

Or, if there is interest I can order 1k Large Rifle Mag Primers and split it with members of of the forum. Quoted cost $35 for 1k of LR Mag and it is available locally.

I am in Plano/Allen/McKinney Area.

I tried this exact same trade a few months ago and did not have any luck. I have since scored some LRM from Powder Valley.

Can the LR primers safely used for 300 Win Mag?

I believe it depends of the powder you are using.

If you are looking for FULL power loads, you will need Magnum primer to fully detonate all the powder. If you are shooting powder-puff loads with pistol powder, you may be able to get away with regular LR.

I assume that you are wanting the full power version.

Correct. Almost Full load for 208gr A-max, I will be using 70gr of Alliant 4000 Mag Pro as a starting load.

According to Hornady's 9th edition, all loads tested use LRM primers. and also recommends working near MAX loads. Reduced loads with slow burning powder can produce Hangfires and dangerous pressure spikes. I would think that a regular LR primer may give you similar results!
