Hey ladies I'll be at Sportsman Shooting Center in Grapevine on Wednesday, May 7 for ladies night. I went last month, it's only $50 per lady and well worth every penny. If you are interested in meeting up, reply to this thread or send me a PM. I hope to see some of you there.

I've not yet visited Sportsmans. $50 is fairly steep for a range fee.... It might generate some additional interest if you would let us know what the ladies get for their $50, beyond what you'd get at a typical range for ~$15. I hear Sportsmans is nice. What range facilities/events are included in ladies night? Of course I'd put some real value in the Ladies Meetup itself (especially if I was a lady ), but if there's something else included in the $50 fee, it would be helpful to know.

I agree, that's pretty pricey. A friend and I went to a local range and paid 50 for a box of ammo and the lane, plus odds and ends.

Thanks so much for your replies. I agree that $50 is expensive for a range fee, but this is not your average range. You get time in the laser simulator room to perfect your form and follow though, which for me (as someone who had never fired a rifle) was a huge help. For the $50 you are not only getting range time, but also instruction from an NRA-certified instructor. The range itself is also not an average range either. It is literally a movie screen where they will play various scenarios. You can select wild game or a carbine course. An example, on the wild game videos, when your shot hits the screen, the video pauses, and it shows a red indicator where your bullet hit.

Ladies night also includes eye & ear protection, rental rifle and ammo (according to the banner on their website). But you are free to bring your own rifle. I am going to take my husband's AR, but they have multiple Daniel Defense ARs available to rent. They also have several calibers of other bolt action rifles to choose from, including .458 Lott.

Their rifle tube is pretty awesome - it's a 100 yard electronic sighting tunnel. They will take you down there, too, upon request.

The staff is super nice and makes the evening fun, too. :)

Just an update.....ammo is NOT part of the $50. However, I showed my NRA card & got a 50% discount.

I plan on going next month & will post again then.

Ladies Night is tomorrow night, and I'll be there.

Ladies night is now every Wednesday from 6-9pm. $50 for the night - not per hour (ammo not included).
